Research project NewBEE launched

FP7-2012-NMP-ENV-ENERGY-ICT-EeB Novel Business model generator for Energy Efficiency in construction and retrofitting.

The NewBEE research project was launched in the scope of the 7th Framework Programme of the European Commission. NewBEE is oriented towards realisation of a highly innovative RTD approach (including deployment of AmI technology for complementary data collection for knowledge-based involvement of energy efficiency aspects in the product/process design) aiming to  enhance existing product and process design systems with features and services that will allow to design single discrete manufacturing processes optimised regarding energy use and ecological impact, and to design/generate appropriate  monitoring and decision supporting services to ensure optimal energy efficiency and ecological impact over the life cycle of so designed products/ processes.

The three year project is coordinated by the Spanish institution TECNALIA. The NewBEE consortium consists of seventeen partners from six Member States of the European Union.
