This project will leverage technologies from the Future Internet PPP program to enable the development and operation of smart systems for supply chains of perishable products such as food and flowers. The project includes an ecosystem that brings together i) the business needs of user communities and ii) creative ideas and technological capabilities of software SMEs and web entrepreneurs. The cornerstones of this ecosystem are regional clusters that have close synergies with regional developments and strategies embedded in European networks. FInish will use the FIspace platform as a foundation and aims to dramatically increase the number of services/applications available in the FIspace store by involving SMEs and web entrepreneurs as developers through open tenders. As such, the FInish project will enable seamless B2B collaboration and enable companies, including SMEs and new players, to quickly build and participate in new regional, horizontal and vertical collaboration at minimal cost. In this way, FInish aims to provide an impetus for the transition from cost-driven to value-driven, information-rich supply chains, which will significantly increase the value, competitiveness and sustainability of the field. Specifically, FInish aims to: 1. Enable small and innovative ICT actors to develop high-value and high-impact solutions for food and flower supply chains based on the technologies of the FI-PPP program 2. Develop a large number of innovative and technologically advanced services and applications for the virtualization, connectivity and intelligence of food and flower supply chain networks 3. Implement and validate the technologies and concepts developed under the FI-PPP 4. Support SMEs in developing high impact applications through Internet applications of the future and help them commercialize their applications across borders in specialized EU markets and beyond 5. Ensure business value of services/applications for collaborative business networks in the food and flowers industry.
