Research project LifeSaver launched

FP7-ICT-2011-7 Context sensitive monitoring of energy consumption to support energy savings and emissions trading in industry
The LifeSaver research project was launched in the scope of the 7th Framework Programme of the European Commission. The aim of the project is to develop a methodology and software platform for the optimization of business processes on energy savings and CO2 emissions trading.
The aim is to support companies with a better assessment of their current energy consumption and to provide individual savings as well as the totality of the business processes and a solid decision support to achieve the implementation of improvement measures. A decision support service for a cost-effective emissions trading should also be developed by identifying the current and future CO2 emissions.
The three year project is coordinated by the Portuguese Institute UNINOVA. The LifeSaver consortium consists of eight partners from three Member States of the European Union. As German end user partners the companies OAS AG and J.W. OSTENDORF GMBH & CO. KG are participating in the project.
